yea usually when i'm reading a story that changes points of view, like yours, i lose track and get confused, but i've been able to follow it.

thats good to hear. Me changing the view point is me not deciding how I want to tell the story haah..so you get both. Usually, with first person, I tend to throw some artistic flavor in there.

i'm actually trying my hand at writing another story, but without success. it seems ive gotten writers block before ive even started. i have a few ideas of what i want to make it about, have several characters in mind, several locations, etc. but just cant commit to/start any for some reason. and right now im listening to music, hoping to get inspired, which is something i read on a site.

Well, you don't have to start at the beginning and work to the end. Many authors skip around and put together their best visions first. You can always go back and do some "bridging" (as I like to call it). Picture in your mind what you want to write, how you want to write it, such as what you want the reader to see and it should flow. Sometimes it helps with bridging your story together down the road. Hope that helps! :)

thanks, ive thought of a plot(that rhymes) or 2. i was thinking of making it about a group of people(adults and kids) that are one a cruise or something and they get shipwrecked somehow(i was thinking maybe either a huge storm, or possibly a collision with another ship) and end up on an abandoned(or undiscovered) island. and mostly kids survive, so it will kind of be like Lord of the Flies, except the kids will be slightly older than in that book, and there will be a couple adults(i havent decided on that yet). then they find out that the island used to be inhabited(i havent decided on why the people that lived there left yet though). and if i go with the undiscovered island plot, ill have something about "natives", so itll kinda be like King Kong, except without the giant gorilla.

ok, now i just cant decide which point of view i should go with.....there's 1st person, which would be i and we and has one character as the narrator, or there's 3rd person which is he and they and the narrator isnt part of the story...hmmm, i guess ill just start with one and then might change it down the road if i choose.

trilogy:
before you start writing, don't forget to submit your idea to a copyright attorney so you don't get sued for plagerism.  i've already written a novel (just trying to get it published) and i used the idea of the family getting shipwrecked and the kids being the only survivors on a deserted island.  i can discuss it here because i already have the book and storyline copyrighted, so i'm not worried about anyone stealing it.  you have to protect yourself.  with my story, after the shipwreck (the cruise ship was rammed by accident in the middle of the night by a cargo ship carrying drugs), the only survivor was one brother who happened to be up on deck when it happened.  his brother gave his life to throw him overboard before the ship sank.  the kid woke up on a deserted island.  to add intrigue to the story, he was an 11 year old schizophrenic, now alone, without medication.  after a few days, he finds, through an unknown source, that he has the power to create anything he wants...ANYTHING!  but whatever he wishes for, he's stuck with, permanently.  give the power of God to an 11 year old schizophrenic, and you've got an entire story.  my first draft was 211 pages, first completed copy was 763 pages, and the final copy when the book was bounded was 430 pages. it's called, "Soliloquy" (which means to perform alone).   part of the excerpt on the back cover reads:
"Welcome to the world of Soliloquy, where dreams become nightmares, and fantasy becomes reality... Where one must be careful what one wishes for because wishes, sometimes, do come true."

dont worry, i wasn't going to publish it or anything, it's just for fun/something to do when not working, other than video games/tv and the internet.

Ugh, it sucks, please never come here. Either its too humid or too cold. Boring as hell, as well. I really want to leave, you know? The other day, an idea popped in my mind which I put on the back burner. It was "move to Ireland and start a family". Which never ocurred to me before until just the other day. It's a maybe, but either way, im out of here when I can hahaha.
