i think i vaguely recall the ghostbusters cartoon. any of these old shows ring a bell? (these 2 were old Nickolodeon shows) Are you afraid of the dark Ahhh! real monsters (these 2 were on other channels) Teenage mutant ninja turtles Garfield and friends
TMNT. my parents used to love irwin allen. not just the movies (towering infernal, poseidon adventure, earthquake, etc.), but his tv series as well (lost in space, time tunnel, land of the giants). they said he was the master of disaster films and actually paved the path for sci-fi shows that followed. i thought most of the titles sounded lame till i saw them all on dvd. now i collect them.
to be honest, i don't think they'd make it. most redone shows fail. the storyline isn't what made it special. it was the special effects of that era. it made it fun. it's like preferring the original godzilla or king kong because it was so terrible, it made it fun. understand what i'm saying? look at the original flash gordon. you can see the string holding the rocketship and it was powered by a sparkler up its tail. i think that was great.
hey guys not sure if it goes here but, anyone remember speed racer the cartoon. the gang and i are going to see that tomorrow, so i will get a reveiw back to you as soon as i can.
