While indie movies can sometimes be really weird, some of the best movies I've seen are independent and have first appeared at the Sundance Film festival in Utah (I think utah?) before making it to the big screens. Hell, some (for reasons unknown to me) don't even make it but they are clearly deserving.
I was just wondering if anyone had been to sundance, or any other film festival like it? (I think there's one in NY and Ontario, I could be wrong though) Do you know of any other festivals in the US?
I really want to go next year. Utah isn't THAT close to nebraska, but hell, it could be further. But yeah, I want to go next year. I believe they hold it in late January. Somebody should go with me :P
i live in nevada AND california but am originally from CA so those festivals i know. there's: a duplicate of the cannes film festival at USC gay and lesbian film festival in los angeles (biggest film festival in CA with over 40,000 visitors every year) latino film festival in san diego los angeles film festival yosemite automotive film festival riverside international film festival youth film festival temecula valley international film & music festival i can continue
probably because los angeles is in CA and most movies are made there, and it's where most stars live so they don't have far to drive to get to the premiers.
