i think i'd consider american idol a variety show. there was a show a couple years ago called american idol kids which was a great show. the only thing i don't like about millionaire is they obviously stretch out the minutes before answering. they don't need 45 minutes to explain that the light in a traffic signal that isn't yellow or green is RED
Yeah, AI isn't the traditional "game show" (winning money/goods), more of a talent competition.
And what about star search? Do they still do that show? It featured kid-singers. Actually, one of the contestant's on AI right now (who is 17) won starsearch when he was 12.
I also saw clips from a european televeison show called "Eurokids" which was a singing competiton for teens. I had no idea what they were saying but some were really cute :P
i never saw star search. don't remember ever hearing of it till i saw it on imdb. but they should have a couple of year-round talent shows just for kids, 17 and under... year round
survivor's really a reality show. you should watch 5th grader. i like challenging my brother to the questions 'cause he is smarter than a 5th grader... wait... he IS a 5th grader!
