Who's yo' daddy?

in honor of the late charlton heston, i thought i'd throw this in.  in the movie "the ten commandments", when moses' mother set the baby moses' in the water to be found by the queen, the baby, who grew up to be heston's character, was his real life son.

ok.  here's one for everyone:

name something specific that jimi hendrix and the grateful dead have in common. it has nothing to do with the fact that they're both musicians or both dead or have lots of songs.  the answer has to do with their songs themselves.  guess away.  i will post the answer right here [_____________________] on friday, may, 16.

I wouldn't know....I listen to hendrix a little and only have one song by the Grateful Dead ('touch of grey' if you will).

I would like to know what they have in common :D

well, here's the answer, as promised.  this blew me away because each band had so many songs people know (and the grateful dead had a following of "deadheads" that followed them everywhere.  ready?

each group only had one hit (that made it in the top 20).  with hendrix, it was purple haze, with grateful dead, cocaine.
