I totally agree with you there. I was hoping for a better ending, but I loved this movie anyway.

i saw a recent interview with freddie recently on utube and i swear i didn't know who it was. it was this tall, skinny, 17-year-old-looking guy with glasses. his face has totally changed overnight, like jonathan taylor thomas' did. i think his "cute childhood" days are over. too bad. he's a really good actor.

He's probably in that "awkward looking" stage lol.

I enjoyed the movie also. I thought that it was going to be better than it was, but it was still quite good. And yeah, the ending wasn't done very well. I mean, I don't see how they could have made it any better, given the circumstances of the movie, but it wasn't the greatest.

SPOILER

i wanted to see the parents and august come together and acknowledge one another as family.  since that is what the entire movie led up to.

!Same Here! You'd think they would have put that in there since that's what he was trying to do the whole movie.

At least it didn't have the typical cheesy-hollywood ending where the audience knows that everything is perfect and happy in the end.

Whiles some movies NEED to end that way to be successful, it gets old after a while. But this might have been one of those movies...

I wonder when a new freddie-movie will come out. I want to see how much he's changed.

Currently has 2 pre-productions on IMDB so it'll probably be another year or so...

check out his recent interviews on utube.  he's completely lost his familiar looks and just looks like an average skinny 16 year old with glasses now.

Wowza he is changing as we speak!

On a side note, I'm horribly jealous about how much he's gotten to travel. Barely 16 and he's already seen a lot of the world, remarkable.
