Parenting

I believe pyschologists, professional care givers, doctors, pediatritions and who ever else with a PH D or higher in fields dealing with human nature should all come together and create a test or an assesment in which people should take and must pass in order to be a parent. Nothing hard, but logical. I see and hear so much crap around me that makes me think, why the smurf are they allowed to raise a child? Just because someone WANTS to have a kid or just so happens it was THEIR seed does not enititle them to be the right person to raise them.

i totally agree and have told many people that.  people can wait patiently for many years before being able to buy their first home, why can't they take their time before having a kid?  i know there is a show on there (we don't get it here) called the baby borrowers, where teens have to spend time raising someone else's infants, then toddlers, then pre-schoolers then teens (just for a few days each) so they can see what it's like to be responsible for kids.  i think that should be a must for all would-be parents.

never heard of that show but: "people can wait patiently for many years before being able to buy their first home, why can't they take their time before having a kid?"

might have something to do with the fact that, buying a house costs alot of money, all at once, aswell as over time. whereas having a kid is virtually free, then costs alot.
